We use Google Analytics 4 to measure how the Site is used. We have enabled Google Analytics Advertising Features, including remarketing, Google Display Network impression reporting, and demographics and interests reporting. These combine Google Analytics cookies with third party advertising cookies to serve and measure advertising based on your past visits to the Site.
We use Google Ads remarketing and LinkedIn Matched Audiences to show you StraitsMicro advertising on other websites and platforms after you visit the Site. We may upload hashed business email addresses to advertising platforms to build or exclude audiences where you have consented or where the law otherwise permits. We do not sell your personal data.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, analytics and advertising tags do not run until you give consent. We pass your choices to Google using Consent Mode.
We send transactional email, such as replies to enquiries and event confirmations, and marketing email where you have opted in or where business to business marketing is permitted by applicable law. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link and our postal address. We action unsubscribe requests within 10 business days as required by the Spam Control Act 2007 of Singapore and keep the address on a suppression list. Our emails contain a tracking pixel that records opens and clicks. Telephone and SMS marketing to Singapore numbers is screened against the Do Not Call Registry.
We share personal data with service providers who host the Site, run our CRM and send our email, with analytics and advertising platforms including Google and LinkedIn, with StraitsMicro group companies in Singapore and India, and with advisers, regulators or authorities where required by law. We may also share it with a buyer and its advisers in connection with a merger or acquisition.
Some recipients are located outside Singapore. Where personal data is transferred abroad we ensure the recipient is bound by legally enforceable obligations providing a comparable standard of protection, and we rely on the Standard Contractual Clauses or another approved mechanism for transfers out of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom.
We keep enquiry data for 24 months from last contact, marketing data until you unsubscribe, careers data for 12 months after a recruitment decision, server logs for 90 days and Google Analytics event data for 14 months. Advertising audience membership expires according to platform settings, up to 540 days. We stop retaining personal data once the purpose has been served and retention is no longer required for legal or business reasons.
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls based on least privilege, and written agreements with our service providers. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in significant harm, or affects a significant number of individuals, we will notify the Personal Data Protection Commission within 3 calendar days of determining that it is notifiable, and will notify affected individuals where required.
You may ask for access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to marketing at any time. Where the GDPR applies you may also request erasure, restriction, objection or portability. Where the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 applies, you may request access, correction, completion, updating, erasure and grievance redressal.
